Millet Saga

A delicious grain, with a creamy texture as a battered potato, comes in various colors. “Millet” in itself means a variety of grains. Historical evidence reveal that Indian have harvested millets for 5000 years.

Believed to be originated in the North African region, Millet is a staple food in Eastern Europe and Asia. In North America and Western, Europe millets are used as fodder for livestock. Today it’s gaining overwhelming popularity for being a nutritious, as well as delicious grain. India, China, and Nigeria are dominant commercial producers today. They are now regaining prominence due to climate change and lesser water requirements compared to other staple crops.
